Cubert - Do Your Strip!

I was asked by Jérôme Poloczek to submit a character for a comic strip project he is running called "(DO YOU DO YOU) DO YOUR STRIP!".  It's essentially a teaching aid to show kids how to draw a character.

Unfortunately the city of Brussels didn't provide funds (this was part of Printemps de la bande-dessinée), but it looks like the project might happen in another form (or perhaps in Brussels in 2009).

In any event - lots of amazing cartoonists from around the world are involved so keep your eyes peeled in Europe!

Mum - 1937-2008

Hi everyone...

my Mother passed away on April 1st (the dry humor isn't lost to me, nor her I'm sure).  I was glad to have been with her in her final moments, and I know she has moved onto a happy afterlife.

I love you Mum.

My mother has been in critical condition in the ICU for the past week.  She's been suffering from Multiple Myeloma (coupled with Gaucher's Disease) and things are touch and go at this point.

If you're wondering why I've been blogging very little lately, this is the reason.

Update 3/31: My family and I have decided to let my mother pass on, and she's been off life support for the past five days. We're all with her as she continues on to her next journey...
